WELCOME TO THE WOOLWICH GRAND THEATRE

The Woolwich Grand Theatre is an arts venue and cinema in the heart of Woolwich, only a five minute walk from Woolwich Arsenal Station.

A multi-purpose arts venue we have a main auditorium with a 16 x 37 foot screen and surround sound, an intimate lounge area for live music and comedy, and an excellent licensed bar and cafe with a varied and affordable menu of hot food, cakes, coffee and a selection of teas.

'King of Comedy' sessions in the Red Room lounge when comedy acts battle it out to become King. May 18th 10 acts fight in out.

Thats not all - The Woolwich Grand is also happy to announce the launch of its "Short Plays of Tomorrow Competition". This will see new and original playwriters and actors strutting their stuff in the RED ROOM THEATRE with a weekend of short 10-30mins plays (31st May-1st June). The Woolwich Grand Theatre is not funded so far by government, local government or Arts Council and subsequently we rely heavily on fundraising and volunteers. Having established this theatre, we want to go on and make this a resounding success in the area. To enable us to continue our success story and allow the building to be used as an arts venue, we need your support.
